DATA FACTORY
The energy of tomorrow

Accelerating the energy transition and the flexibility of the power grid by leveraging consumption

Solving the energy equation through consumption

DATA FACTORY

What do we do?

Energy

Acquisition of land in areas with abundant, low-cost extra electrical capacity.

Infrastructure

Installation of computing power centers (blockchain datacenters) for demand response and network balancing.

Ecology

Accelerating the energy transition and the flexibility of power grids by leveraging consumption

DATA FACTORY Texas

Texas is proving to be a preferred choice for data center installation thanks to its affordable energy costs, business-friendly policies and flexible power grid managed by ERCOT. This rate flexibility, particularly in regions rich in renewable energy such as wind and solar, offers significant economic advantages. In addition, Texas is actively engaged in the transition to cleaner energy, although this presents challenges in terms of grid management and demand. DATA FACTORY plans to contribute to this transition by developing a 100 MW site over the next 36 months, optimizing energy consumption and supporting sustainable energies.

Brad Jones
Interim President of the Texas Electric Grid Operator (ERCOT)

"Computational power centers help create demand for renewables on the grid, helping to balance their intermittency."

Our strategy

Energy damper 2.0

By developing modular, scalable computing power centers close to under-utilized energy resources, DATA FACTORY aims to meet the computing power needs of innovative new technologies, while creating alternative sources of revenue for energy infrastructures with extra capacity, and generating essential demand to balance the grid in off-peak periods.

Our commitment
Our commitment to financing the energy transition is unwavering.
A key player
We aim to become a key player in the drive towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Our values

The challenges of the energy transition

A considerable amount of energy remains untapped, or even wasted, all over the planet. It may seem astonishing to hear talk ofexcess electricity in the midst of an energy crisis, yet there are currently under-utilized power plants in many parts of the world, such as the northern Scandinavian countries, isolated regions of Africa and some American states.

Green energy
Green energies often have significant geographical constraints.
Unlike thermal power plants, hydroelectric dams or wind farms, for example, are generally developed in remote, isolated locations.
New offers
These new energy sources, with little or no controllability, often create an oversupply of electricity which, if combined with a mismatch between supply and demand, can lead to very low or even negative electricity prices.
